The Mobility Secretariat of Mexico City reported on Thursday the arrest of the truck drivers involved in the run-over of a woman who lost her life in Xochimilco. According to the official statement, the incident occurred at the intersection of Hombres Ilustres and Jaguey streets, in the Santa Cecilia Tepetlapa colony. Involved were units from Route 100 and Route 76. According to the report from the capital's authorities, the vehicles involved are unit 1000077 and unit 0760097. The institution detailed that both transports were apparently driving recklessly on Hombres Ilustres street when they did not notice a woman crossing, who was allegedly run over by both transports, which then continued on their way. Following the report of the incident, emergency services attended the scene to provide medical attention; however, they determined that the victim had no vital signs. Due to the continuation of the route of the involved units, personnel from the Citizen Security Secretariat managed to reach the operators a few meters ahead of the scene. The Mobility Secretariat confirmed that the drivers were placed at the disposal of the authorities to determine their responsibility in the events. In the administrative and victim assistance sphere, the state agency indicated that it has already established contact with the representatives of the involved routes so that they provide prompt attention and accompaniment to the family of the deceased.
